I haven’t really had a chance to mention yet but “Cat Show” will be making its premiere next week at the 19th annual Cucalorus Film Festival. Although the trailer has played at the Walker Art Center and the Great Wall of Oakland’s Cat Video Film Festivals, this will be the premiere of the full-length version.
I’m excited for a couple reasons: 1) this is the first public screening of the full-length cut and 2) it is screening in the town where I filmed it, and where I consider myself a local filmmaker.
This is the second time I’ve been a part of Cucalorus as a filmmaker (first was as director of photography on James Lafferty’s basketball documentary For Keeps), and I’ll be making the best of this years’ festival both as an active participant and festival-goer. Whether its at my screening or another film, I hope to see you all there!
Cat Show will be screening at TheaterNOW November 17th at 1:30 pm, and is part of the Bog Beans Shorts film block. Click here for tickets.
